Story
I feel incredibly lucky to have a place running the London Marathon 2026, an iconic event in the city that I call home.
Still can’t quite believe that just last year I ran my first 5k, and now I’m training for a marathon! It’s a huge change of pace for me, literally and figuratively. I’ll be dialling down the social plans and swapping nights out for early runs, all to commit to something that feels genuinely important.
Training will be tough, but knowing it’s for Barnardo’s, who support vulnerable children and young people across the UK, gives this challenge real purpose. It’s not just about pushing myself physically; it’s about showing up for an important cause and making a meaningful difference. That makes every early morning, every ache, and every km of training count.
Thank you for all the support - I’ve cried just watching people cross the finish line at the London Marathon, so I already know I’ll be a mess when it’s my turn!
P.S. If that’s my face after 10k, just imagine the drama at 42.
