Story
Hello!
So, I’ve always wanted to skydive. And when a friend mentioned that they too had always wanted to skydive, I was totally up for joining him. I mean, who wouldn’t want to jump out of a plane at 12,000 feet, which is exactly what we have booked. And it will be incredible.
Many people have asked if I'm doing this to raise money for charity, which I initially wasn’t. However, it got me thinking that if people are eager to donate, then why not make it count?
So, even though the skydive is a personal adventure that I've already paid for, I've decided to use this opportunity to raise funds for the Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity: the official registered Trust Charity that supports the incredible hospitals- Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals - that my even-more incredible wife Syreeta works at.
My skydive is on the 23rd June over the skies of Kent. And I am flying - and parachuting - with GoSkydive.
Now, the skydive itself isn't directly for charity; as I’ve said it's something I've always wanted to do and have already paid for.
But if your instinct to hearing “I’ve booked myself a skydive” is to donate to charity, then this page is for you.
And if you're wondering why not just donate the money directly instead of asking for donations… then you’ve not understood why I’m doing this. And if you feel you’re owed a better explanation, feel free to donate some money and I’ll try to explain better; the larger your donation the clearer the explanation.
Glibness aside, your generosity will make a real difference by supporting patients, families, and staff at my local hospitals.
Thank you so much for considering donating!
