Story
In September 2026, I’ll be hiking 100km across one of Europe’s wildest mountain ranges — the Accursed Mountains in the Balkans.
But this isn’t just about the challenge. It’s about something much bigger: mental health.
The Challenge
I’ll be trekking:
🏔️ 100km over 6 days
⛰️ Up to 2,275m elevation
🌍 Across Kosovo, Montenegro & Albania
🥾 Through remote trails, mountain passes, and villages
This is a demanding expedition — 6–9 hours of hiking per day, steep climbs, and unpredictable mountain conditions.
My Personal Story
Like many people, I’ve experienced mental health challenges firsthand — including depression, anxiety, burnout, and stress. I’ve also seen how deeply this can affect not only ourselves, but the people around us.
At times, I’ve gone from feeling on top of the world to feeling completely hopeless — in pain, powerless, and scared that I might never feel like myself again.
And the truth is: I don’t talk about it nearly enough. Too often, I struggle in silence.
That’s why this matters to me.
I want to use this challenge not only to push myself physically, but to help raise awareness and support for people going through similar struggles — both in Costa Rica and around the world.
Fundraising Goal
My goal is to raise at least $1,000, but I’d love to go beyond that.
Together with 99 other colleagues taking part in this expedition, we aim to raise $100K+ for mental health charities.
Every donation — big or small — makes a real difference.
If you’re able to support, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if not, even sharing this page can make a big difference 💙
