Story
I'm taking on the Big Mountain Challenge - The Everest edition to raise much needed and vital funds for Thames Hospice. From personal experience with my wife's father at another hospice, I know how incredible and crucial the support that they provide can be for both the individual and the families of those affected.
This will be one of the hardest challenges I have taken on with regards to cycling. 3.5 days of exceptionally tough riding await me, with the Cingles de Mont Ventoux at the heart of it. This includes 3 ascents of the formidable Mont Ventoux in a day. The total amount of riding will include 421km and more terrifyingly (especially for a big lad like me!) 8900m of elevation, which is the equivalent of Mount Everest - actually a tad more!
Please support me in my effort to complete this challenge and raise money for Thames Hospice. All funds raised will go to the charity as I will be paying for all accommodation/flights etc myself.
