Story
We took part in the Pedal the Periphery Cycle Event in 2024 and 2025, in aid of NIPANC. This year we are going to take part in a slightly different cycle challenge for the charity.
We have signed up to the Channel to Med Cycle organised by Sport Ecosse. As the event title suggests it is a cycle from Ouistreham on the English Channel coast of France to Sete on the Mediterranean coast. This is a distance of 620 miles over 8 days from 30th May to 6th June 2026.
The charity that we are raising funds for is NIPANC which is a Northern Ireland based charity working to improve the outcomes of pancreatic cancer by:
Increasing public understanding of this cancer
Promoting awareness of the cancer’s signs and symptoms by both medical professionals and members of the public
Funding vital research
Supporting patients and their families
Pancreatic Cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer with approximately 240 deaths in NI each year.
If you would like to support this worthy cause, we would greatly appreciate anything you can donate. Thank you so much.
Please note, that we are paying for the full costs of the trip ourselves and as such 100% of the money donated will go to the charity.
