Story
On Sunday April 6th, I will be running the London Landmark Half Marathon in memory of my wonderful mum, who has just passed away after battling Alzheimer’s disease. I will be running alongside my colleague Troy, son Max, and friend Tom.
Mum was one of a kind—funny, stubborn, and above all, caring. No matter what life threw at her, she always had a smile on her face, lighting up the room with her warmth and kindness. Even as Alzheimer’s took its toll, she never lost her spirit, reminding us all of the power of love, laughter, and resilience.
This cruel disease is heartbreaking and it showed me the importance of raising awareness and funding research to help families like ours. That’s why I’ve decided to take on this challenge—to honour her memory and to support the incredible work being done to fight Alzheimer’s.
Every step I take will be for her, and every pound raised will go towards helping others who are affected by this disease. If you can spare anything, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and would make a real difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for your support—it truly means everything. Let’s do this for Mum
