Family Fund believes that all families raising disabled and seriously ill children should have the same opportunities as others. With our grants and services we aim to help break down many of the barriers these families face, improving their quality of life and easing the additional daily pressures.

Story

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. Every day, families tell us how this support has a huge impact on their lives, but we want to make an even bigger difference to even more families. Last year, we provided over 150,000 grants or services across the UK.

Inspire Europe have provided support for Family Fund since August 2013 , and following last year's incredible effort raising money by cycling from Whitby to Bramhall in a day, this year an intrepid team of 11 cyclists put together by Inspire are setting off on May 17th 2024 from Keswick in the Lake District and cycling via Morecambe back to Bramhall in Cheshire in one day , a distance of 134 miles with total elevation climbing of just under 7000 feet (if everyone goes the right way!)

The team are Danny Schweiger , Mark Schweiger, Alan Hodari, Harvey Kaye, Nick Groombridge, Paul Morris, Sam Marland , Toby Williams, Joe Lunt, Michael Ozon and Richard Buxton, ably supported on the day by the best bike man in the North West, Martin Girdwood. Please check the gallery to see a collage of the team - they might not look so happy towards the end of the ride !

With the economic climate as it is , the team are raising money for these special families who face challenges on a daily basis that are simply being exacerbated by the cost of living crisis.

The ride is being graciously supported by the following companies again:-
