Richard's fundraiser for North East Autism Society

Richard Carter is raising money for North East Autism Society

Dress as an elf

For 45 years we’ve led the way in supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals, and their families, across the North East of England. We work to create a society where autism is understood and accepted, inclusion is the norm, and autistic people can lead fulfilled lives.

Story

As December approaches, I am filled with a sense of purpose and determination. This year, I have committed to dressing as an elf for the entire month to support the North East Autism Society’s 'little stars' appeal.

This cause is close to my heart as it directly impacts toddlers like Cora, who has recently been diagnosed with autism and sensory processing disorder. The toddler group she attends provides a safe haven for her to play and interact with other children facing similar challenges, all under the guidance of dedicated parents, carers, and staff.

The 'little stars' appeal aims to raise £5,000 to sustain these invaluable free toddler groups in 2025. These groups rely solely on donations, making every contribution crucial.

From December 1st to the 26th, I will be proudly donning my elf attire everywhere I go - at home, in public, and even at work! Watch this elf climb trees!

My goal is to raise £250 & I hope to up this target if I can. Your generous donation will directly contribute to helping toddlers with autism and their families. Every donation no matter how small will make a difference and be hugely beneficial

We will post regular updates of elf related activities so you can follow along with us !

Smashed the £250 goal! We have upped it to £500 as the more we can support this cause, the better! Thank you all so much ❤️
