Story
Those of you that are close to the family will know that our Rosie has a mild version of Cerebral Palsy. Those of you that didn't know...you do now. Although it may be mild it still effects her day to day life having to wear a splint to support her right leg which is tight due to the condtiiton.
I wanted a challenge for the start of the year so I decided that 100 miles around Swanpool is a sane idea! That'll be around 125 laps of the 0.8mi loop. I don't really do raising money for charity but I thought I would on this occasion to show Rosie there's plenty of support out there for all forms of disability. I'll be starting my challenge this Friday (30th) around 5pm, hoping to finish lunchtime ish on Saturday. So pop down if you fancy cheering me on a bit, this will e the furthest I've ever ran.
I've chosen SCOPE as the charity because it's the leading charity in the UK for cerebral palsy. But they are not solely cerebral palsy...
There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. That’s one in four of us. Life is harder when you’re disabled. You're twice as likely to be unemployed, getting care is a struggle and the cost of living is higher. It’s wrong and unacceptable.
So, I'm fundraising for Scope to also help create a fairer society.
Join me in making this happen. Let's end disability inequality, today.
