Story
I met with Cameron's father Darren Slater earlier this year, he told me about the loss of his son and the tragic way he had passed and it really touched me as I have children myself and have no idea how it must feel for the family and friends of Cameron. On the day Cameron passed away he was due to view a property with ourselves at Evans Estates a colleague of mine made us aware in the office of Cameron's passing and then meeting Darren it felt only right for myself to do something for a great local family. Doing research into what had happened to Cameron I contacted Darren and asked if I could raise money in memory of Cameron and to help CRY this brilliant charity. I will be running the Belfast Marathon in memory of Cameron and to raise money for CRY.
In the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
