My younger brother, Steve was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer in the summer of 2021. In spite of excellent care and a range of treatments, the cancer spread rapidly and he died on 23rd December 2022, 2 weeks after his 54th birthday.

Steve showed immense courage during the last 18 months of his life, continuing to work for as long as he could and to live life to the fullest extent possible.

I want to take on this challenge of playing golf for 24 hours (4th to 5th July) during my year as captain at Dale Hill Golf Club in memory of Steve and to raise money to improve future treatments and survival rates.
