Story
Nearly 2 years ago our now 11 year old daughter Maisie was diagnosed with Dystonia which has now completely changed what daily life looks for Maisie and our family.
Maisie battles through pain and othe
r challenges every single day and we are passionate about raising funds to help research into the condition and hopefully one day find a cure.
Last year I completed my first ever triathlon and was humbled and genuinely blown away by people's generosity in supporting me to raise nearly £15k. Thank you so much to everyone who donated last year.
This year we have assembled a team who on the 18th July 2026 will attempt to complete the National 3 peaks challenge. This is climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell pike) and Wales (Snowdon) in under 24 hours.
The amazing men alongside me in this challenge are:
Pete Butterworth
Paul Cooney
Josh Wilbourn
Kev Tulley
Matt North
Oliver North
Thank you all so much for committing to and supporting this event!
Please read below a bit more about Dystonia:
Over 100,000 people in the UK are affected by Dystonia, which is a neurological condition presenting with uncontrollable and sometimes painful muscle spasms. Dystonia is a lifelong condition that affects both adults and children that currently has no cure.
Dystonia UK is children and adults with dystonia, carers and clinicians, fundraisers and families, medical professionals and our amazing members and supporters, all working side by side. Through our fundraisers and supporters (yes that is you!), we can carry on our mission, so thank you!
