UPDATE!!! CHALLENGE COMPLETED and we are tantalisingly close to our new target of £3,400!!! Please keep the donations coming, every penny counts - thank you!
Our cycling group 'Sheffield Amateur Hour' (Jamie, Neil, Pat, Richard and Graeme) is raising money for The Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience - SITraN for short - at The University of Sheffield.
Every pound you can give will help to bring us closer to cracking awful conditions like MND, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, which affect so many people!!!
We'll be tackling the formidable Lakes and Dales Loop, cycling 200 miles in 3 days with over 15,000 ft of hills, starting and finishing in Penrith. It will be tough, but hopefully all those Peak District training rides will have paid off... I said 'hopefully'!
SITraN is WORLD FAMOUS and its founder Professor Dame Pam Shaw recently told its backstory on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. Listen back here - and please dig deep for this great cause!
