Charity Football Match · 11 May 2025

We work specifically with the Piam Brown Ward and Teenage and Young Adult Unit at Southampton General Hospital, who support children and young adults diagnosed with cancer, and their families, from across the South Coast. We offer practical, financial and memory making grants to these families.

Story

Abby's Heroes supports children, teenagers, young adults and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the the Piam Brown Ward and the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) wards at UHS - Southampton General Hospital.

Taking care of families from across the South Coast of England, we offer Welfare Packs, Care and Comfort bags, Financial Grants, operate a family room with emergency provisions, Counselling sessions and Play Therapy for the patient and their family. We have an active days out programme for the whole family and special days for the Grandparents and siblings.

We are taking part in a charity football match at the home of Southend United , Roots Hall. Our local FOSU football group (Fat , Old, S&@T and Unfit ) which is made up of mixed abilities and ages.

Why this charity:

My cousins Daughter passed away in December 24 she was 11yrs old, she battled for a long time with Cancer, Abby’s heroes supported the family through such a difficult time.

We are trying to give something back to say “Thank you”

Her Favourite animal was 🐝 so please wear anything Yellow/Black.
