I launched this fundraising page a few months ago and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s supported me so far — thanks to your generosity, I’m already halfway to my £5,000 target for Teenage Cancer Trust.

But with just a few months to go until the big day, I still need to raise the other half — and I’d be hugely grateful for your support.

Since setting myself this challenge in January, I’ve clocked up over 700km of training for the Thames Path Ultra Marathon — a 100km run from Putney to Henley, which I’ll be taking on 13th September.

To help stay focused, I signed up for a major mid-year milestone — the Fox Ultra in Godalming on 24th May. I’m thrilled to say I completed it! It was my first big test under race conditions and a huge step forward towards September’s ultra. What this taught me, is there’s no easy way to run long distances - it’s brutal.

I’m running in support of Teenage Cancer Trust — an amazing charity that provides specialist care, support and facilities for young people facing cancer. Every day, seven young people aged 13–24 are diagnosed with cancer in the UK, and Teenage Cancer Trust is there to make sure they don’t face it alone. Their expert nurses, youth workers and support teams help teenagers through the toughest times of their lives — physically, emotionally and socially.

Every donation genuinely makes a difference — both to the young people Teenage Cancer Trust supports, and (on a smaller scale!) to help keep me moving through the long solo training runs.
