Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

On Friday 2nd August, members of staff from Sholing Junior School and parents and friends from the wider community will be completing a walk in memory of three of our wonderful pupils - Vlad (17) Mario (15) and CJ (7). This year, we will be raising money for CJ’s family's chosen charity – Brain Cancer Research.

If you would like to join the walk at any time, you are welcome. We are planning to stay together as a group covering roughly three miles each hour. If you do choose to take part, please ask for your friends and families to sponsor your leg of the walk through this page and ask them to leave a message for you. The idea is that the group grows as the day goes on.

To meet the group at the location that best suits you, please remember the departure times are approximate, so you’ll have to be there early or be prepared to wait. (See the table in the picture). If your child would like to take part, a parent must supervise them.

We may well enjoy a beverage at Guildhall Square when we finish.

I have also arranged the weather to be nice!

It is a beautiful walk, wherever you join it.

Let's see if we can raise some money!

With Best Wishes
