Story
Christmas should be a magical time, surrounded by friends and family. But for some people, it can be a difficult time, especially if you're on your own. At Garden House Hospice Care, we work to reduce loneliness and social isolation and we don't want Christmas to be any different.
On Christmas Day, with the support of my family, the Hospice's Compassionate Neighbours team and Blueharts Hockey Club, we will be hosting a Christmas lunch for anyone who is going to be on their own.
We will be providing transport, a free lunch and the usual Christmas entertainment to up to 70 people - giving them a warm, welcome and festive Christmas Day to look forward to.
I am therefore trying to raise some funds to cover the costs of the food, transport, decorations and entertainment. Anything you can give will help to give people some much needed Christmas cheer. Thank you.
Any funds left over will be used to fund Garden House Hospice's weekly programme of Wellbeing Hubs:
