Story
For more than 10 years I have seen first-hand the incredible work of Everton in the Community.
Through its amazing staff team and volunteers this charity is changing and saving so many lives every single day.
I've chosen to run the London Marathon for Everton in the Community because I know that any funds raise will truly make a difference to people in our community who need our support the most.
If you can't donate please take a moment to read the below and look up and pass on information about the charity's work and its impact www.evertoninthecommunity.org/about-us/impact - it is genuinely incredible.

As the charitable arm of Everton Football Club, Everton in the Community is committed to transforming lives
and creating positive change in the communities it serves. Established in 1988, the charity has become a
powerful force for good; harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing
societal challenges across Liverpool City Region.
It delivers more than 60 projects and initiatives a year, each specifically designed and developed to combat
these challenges. The charity’s social programmes tackle issues such as inequality, health disparities,
educational attainment, poverty, mental health, unemployment with a resolute commitment to making a
tangible difference.
Whilst the charity works across the whole of the Liverpool City Region, the majority of its work takes place in
Liverpool 4 in the Kirkdale and County wards of Liverpool which are in the most deprived 1% of neighbourhoods
nationally. A third of children are living in an Absolute Low Housing Income and the area has a life expectancy,
six years less than the national average. The ward of Kirkdale also has high levels of deprivation in the indices
of income, employment, education, health and disability, crime and living environment.
Its projects support people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. From delivering the
Premier League Primary Stars programme with school children to supporting elderly members of the Liverpool
community who are suffering from social isolation, Everton in the Community is open and inclusive to all and
supports more than 20,000 of the most in-need individuals across our region each year.
Every time someone donates £1 to Everton in the Community they are then able turn this into £29.86 worth of
social impact across the region through their ground-breaking work.
So help me to hit the ground running with this fundraising challenge by making a donation to my fundraising
page.
