🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️HELP ME SURVIVE 3 DAYS OF CYCLING !! 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️
Hi everyone,
I have made a bold decision, some might call it 'exciting', others might call it 'madness'. I am cycling 245 miles (I'm opting for the long route) over 3 days around Norfolk. That's 3 whole days on a bike in only 1 months time and I have yet to start training!
Why? That's a great question. Partly for a great cause (that's where you come in), and partly because I am ignoring every bit of advice and every warning sign from my aging body about this activity!
Over the course of this adventure, we will encounter:
1. Hills - I hear they are brutal in Norfolk! (in fact I hear the fewer the hills the greater the cycling, as there is no downhill!)
2. Wind. The lack of hills make Norfolk famous for strong gusty winds.
3. Saddle soreness - this could be life changing!
4. A competitive group of experienced riders no doubt with all the kit!
I'll be pedalling through rain, shine, gales and the inevitable moments when I question why have chosen to do this.
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN ❤️
Please sponsor me! I have one month to raise over £1500.
Your donation will
> support two amazing charities linked to Hospitality
> help motivate me to complete the course
> be some comfort for the saddle soreness I'll go through
If you have ever thought, "I'd like to help or support a charity, BUT I don't want to do anything physically demanding" ... this is your moment! I have the suffering covered - PLEASE click to donate
Thank you
Richard
Pedalling to Pubs 2026 brings together industry leaders from across the hospitality industry.
As they travel through the breath taking landscapes around Norfolk, the cyclists also embrace the opportunity to raise vital funds for the Licensed Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away.
Both charities work tirelessly to provide support, assistance, and opportunities to vulnerable individuals within the hospitality industry, including those facing poverty, homelessness, and other challenges.
This is a first for me, I have very little distance cycling experience but I very keen to do my bit to assist these great charities.
