Finish Line Fund provides funding, equipment and sponsorship to amateur East Essex Sports bodies.

They are also dedicated to providing a safer environment for sporting activity by funding numerous defibrillators across the community. This is driven by the reason for the charity’s formation: the tragic death of a local runner at the 2014 Southend half marathon.

They are currently responsible for funding 33 defibrillators

In the last year or so they have funded c30 local amateur sports clubs with defibrillators, a host of different equipment and, for various event organisers, covered the cost of medical cover on race days, to ensure a safer environment.

I am running the London Marathon to raise funds to help them continue their work, so please support me.
