On September 23rd, I'll be competing as part of a four-man team taking on an incredible dawn till dusk triple challenge through majestic mountains and sprawling lakes in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park.

This triathlon-style adventure charity fundraising challenge includes a 22 mile cycle loop, 75% off-road and 25% on-road, followed by a steep, thigh-bursting trek to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, a classic Lake District mountain looming over the surrounding countryside. This is then topped off with a 2 mile water course in a kayak. All in the same day.

Crazy? Possibly. But it's for a great cause - we're joining the fight for tiny lives by racing for Ride for Action, helping to raise funds for vital medical research to save and change the lives of babies and children.
