Richard's fundraiser for Dementia UK

Donating my hair · 20 April 2023
My father was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2021; we were aware that he was unwell following his heart attack in 2018 where he suffered complications during the emergency surgery but it took some time to get a formal diagnosis with his assessments being delayed as a result of the pandemic. He is still battling on and living his life to the fullest within the constraints of his illness. I am hoping to raise some money for Dementia UK an excellent charity who do great work in this sector dealing with this horrible illness that affects both the individual and friends and family; and also funds for an externally mounted defibrillator at our office complex of buildings.
What am I doing to warrant your donations? I am finally getting my haircut! I have been growing it since my fathers' diagnosis just to highlight that some relatively routine activities most people take for granted can be difficult. Any contribution no matter the size would be greatly welcomed and would mean a great deal to me personally. I am also donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust so someone can benefit from it. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
