Story

I am Richard Nicholas. My wonderful wife, Hazel, has an incurable neurological disease called PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). It has features similar to Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson’s Disease and is relentless in causing decline in bodily function. The condition affects balance, coordination, speech and swallowing. Hazel was diagnosed with this cruel disease in 2019.

We are performing a music charity gig in aid of the Neurology Department at Queen’s University. We hope to provide funding for local medical scientific research, scholarships and undergraduate medical school prizes/bursaries. We try to make every day special for Hazel. The featured artists (Sophie French, Paddy Godfrey and Ricknick) are all performing for free as a charitable gesture.

The donations to the Queen's University Foundation will be held by them and forwarded to the Department of Neurology after completion of the Gig.
