Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To all you amazing supporters both on and offline thank you so much! And an ongoing 'thank you' to those thinking about it. Your generous encouragement is making a real difference to Dementia UK and their Admiral Nurses.

'What's the distance?' I asked, 'Just 84 miles'. That seemed a good challenge for a reasonably fit 84-year-old. The guidebook Walking Hadrian's Wall Path had been an 84th birthday present from my son James. We had planned a coast-to-coast walk together long ago and now at last it's a reality. 'Let's raise some money. Any ideas?' With friends and relatives living with dementia, once including my own mother, the family were unanimous in suggesting 'Dementia' as the cause.

Over and over again Dementia UK's Admiral nurses step in to help a family come to terms with the onset of dementia, turning desperation into loving and caring acceptance.

Please help me raise at least £3,500, the cost of setting up and equipping yet another Admiral Nurse. Thank you all.

Richard Noble.
