WISHH, the official charity of Hull Hospitals, has launched its ‘Space to Grow’ appeal to raise £100,000 to enhance the facilities of Hull’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This will complement the Hospital Trust’s expansion of the unit by 5 cots.

Story

On 21st June, myself and 11 Hull Hospitals staff members will be cycling the 215 miles from Southport to Hull to complete the Trans Pennine Trail.

I would like to support the WISHH Charity's Space to Grow appeal as a close colleague of mine has been directly involved with the professional and expert care the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has given through an extreme amount of emotional heartache. The neonatal team showed compassion and empathy towards my colleague and his family, and did everything they could to to alleviate any stress and anxiety they were feeling under extreme duress and mental pain.

It would be a privilege to support your wonderful charity and the many families who rely on your super service and care.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!

WISHH stands for Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals. We fundraise to complement and enrich the services and facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, over and above what can be achieved by the NHS alone, for the benefit and comfort of patients and their loved ones.
