Richard's fundraiser for Mind - Yeovil 836

Richard Padwell is raising money for Mind

Yeovil 836 - Cycling from Glanford Park (home of Scunthorpe Utd FC) to Huish Park (home of Yeovil Town FC) and back again · 6 March 2026

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

Yeovil 836 is born out of a passion for Scunthorpe United and all things cycling, whilst helping to raise money for the mental health charity - Mind.

Scunthorpe United FC are away at Yeovil Town FC on Saturday 7th March 2026.

I intend to leave Glanford Park (GP) (home of Scunthorpe United) at 6am on Friday 6th March and arrive at Huish Park (HP) (home of Yeovil Town) by 9am on Saturday 7th March - Match day.

I'll watch the game, stay over in Yeovil and then Sunday 8th March will see the return leg - HP, 6am to GP by 9am on Monday 9th March.

The total mileage is 836km (520 miles) and is an 'out and back route' so 260miles each way.

I have experienced ill mental health on/off throughout my life since the age of 14, i'm now 42. With this, raising money for Mind serves as a great source of motivation to complete the challenge.

Please give what you can to support people experiencing ill mental health, especially during this time of crisis with youth rates of ill mental health ever increasing.
