We are all affected by cancer in some way in our lifetimes. Living just a mile from the Christie, a leading cancer centre in the UK providing world-class care and treatment to cancer patients, and knowing someone my age undergoing treatment for terminal cancer, I was delighted when Hill Dickinson chose The Christie Charity as our office charity this year, and knew I had to get involved in our fundraising efforts!

On 21 September 2024, I and my Hill Dickinson colleagues are taking on the 'Lakes 10 Peak challenge' which will see us summit 10 peaks in the Lake District in just one day:

1. Bowfell 2,959 ft

2. Esp Pike 2,903 ft

3. Great End 2,985 ft

4. Ill Crag 3,067 ft

5. Broad Crag 3,064 ft

6. Scafell Pike 3,208 ft

7. Lingmell 2,647 ft

8. Great Gable 2,949 ft

9. Green Gable 2,627 ft

10. Base Brown 1,938 ft

We will be trekking for 12 hours, in whatever weather the Lake District throws at us, with approximately 6,000ft of ascent - that’s like climbing Snowdon twice in one day!
