100 Mile walk with 100 days alcohol free to raise 100k for Big C · 1 April 2024
At 5am on Monday 1st April I will be embarking on a 100 mile walk from the No.1 in Cromer to Kings Lynn and back to Norwich finishing at The Big C Cancer Unit on Tuesday 2nd April at approx 6pm
In advance of this this and to help train for the 'BIG' walk I have started a Saturday morning walking club where a group of now over 50 people are walking the Norwich Ring Road at 0530 every week to improve their health, fitness and well being. This group has connected many new people and given them a focus and desire to make a positive change to their life and the lives of those around them.
The moto we have created for this group is ' If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far together '
The feedback for this walk as been immense and I am proud that this activity, which was just started as a practice for the 'BIG' one is making such a difference.
Alcohol has also played a big part in my life since a young age and to make the challenge even more fun I am giving up Alcohol for a minimum of 100 days - this started on 1st Jan 2024.
Walking the 100 miles with me will be Grant Holt and a two of the team from ARC Group LTD - Thank you for the original inspiration and I look forward to digging in deep with you to achieve this goal.
Please give all you can to support our activity and the all those that will be positively impacted by our achieving the walk.
