Story
On May 10, I'll be slogging around the Leeds Half Marathon in support of Marie Curie, the UK's leading charity for end-of-life care, and in memory of my lovely mum-in-law Sue Bale, who so sadly died in February after a long illness.
The Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle took incredible care of Sue in her last weeks. Just as importantly, they looked after Sue's family, too. This is a charity that does incredible work for people going through unimaginably difficult times.
Please throw some money my way, if you can (£3 helps fund a meal for a patient in a Marie Cure hospice; £207 helps fund nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patient's home). If you can't contribute financially, it'd be great if you could share this fundraising page far and wide.
The photos of me in a sweaty vest will continue until the target is reached. You have been warned.
Thanks so much.
