Story
A 1200km adventure across the Land of the Rising Sun, I am raising money for the Lee's Smile Charity as a part of my personal journey towards better health. Join me for Cycle Rise 2027.
Having known the Johnson Family for over 15 years, I have seen the hard work and dedication they have put into the charity they founded following the loss of their beloved son Lee. The study and treatment of Epilepsy is something that deserves much more public attention, as it is a condition that can be devastating to those who are affected by it. The Lee's Smile Charity has done amazing work to fund equipment that can help the people who need it most.
When I turned 40 in April 2024, I had an annual physical where I was told that I needed to improve my health by losing weight and getting my high cholesterol in control. With a family history of heart disease, I didn't want to take any chances, so I started a personal journey to lose weight and get fit. To motivate myself, I decided I would do a long distance bike ride across Japan, a country I once lived in and I often attribute to beginning the path in life that has lead me to where I am now.
I also wanted to contribute to something bigger than me, and I wanted to contribute to a cause where I knew every penny would be used for something good. Lee's Smile fits that description perfectly.
Please donate so that we can fight Epilepsy together, help save lives and bring happiness to the families who do their best to live with a condition that takes too many people too soon.
