London to Amsterdam Cycle · 16 September 2026

Team Abby's Heroes are hitting the roads once more to cycle from London to Amsterdam over 4 days in September, from 16th-20th, racking up over 300 miles for an epic European challenge!

Story

In December 2024 I made a decision to change my life; building healthy new habits that I've been able to stick with, returning to my bike after almost twenty years, and shedding 77kg in the process.

Now I want that effort to count by challenging myself in support of others.

Starting on 16 September I will travel 335 miles from London to Amsterdam over the course of 5 days. The catch? I'll be covering that distance on two wheels powered only by my legs - legs which are much sleeker and stronger than two years ago! And hopefully up to the challenge in support of a worthy cause:

Abby’s Heroes support children and young people with cancer and their families across the South Coast. They help with real, everyday pressures. Food. Travel. Emotional support. Small moments that lift families during treatment.

What your donation will be used for:

- £10 covers lunch and dinner for a parent staying on the ward.

- £50 will ensure a child has a day out or a trip to the theatre.

- £100 provides snacks for children and their families on the wards.

- £130 funds a Welfare Pack for a newly diagnosed family hospital parking and gift cards for the shops within the hospital to ease the initial, expensive days.

- £150 covers a Fish and Chips night for the whole ward.

- £200 gives a child or young person an End of Treatment Award to celebrate “ringing the bell” after gruelling treatment something just for them.

- Financial Hardship Grants help with rent/mortgage, household bills, living costs in hospital, and travel to treatment this is a lifeline! Families face circa £750 extra costs per month following a diagnosis.

If you can donate, thank you. Your support will go twice as far because my employer will match every donation I receive.

If you can share the page, that helps just as much.

Let’s turn this ride into something that matters. ❤️🚴‍♂️🌍
