Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·

More than 60,000 peolpe suffer a sudden cardiac arrest outside of hospital in England each year and less than one in ten survive. Being able to use a defibrillator within the first ten minutes dramatically improves the chances of survival. Please help us raise funds to make more defibs available.

Story

Hi,

I will be running the The Great North Run this year to raise money for the incredible Tom Henson charity,

Tom tragically died at the age of 23 of a cardiac arrest due to an undiagnosed congenital heart condition whilst playing football nearly 8 years ago. His family went on to set up the lifesaving @theTomHensoncharity in his name, to install and upkeep defibrillators. I would love to raise enough money to hopefully install a new defibrillator.

Public defibrillators are so important. 4 in 5 cardiac arrest happen out of hospital and less than 1 in 10 people survive this.

Please donate if you can, in memory of Tom, towards an incredible charity
