Glasgow to Bucks, 500 Miles Tour de Cairn for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Richard Adams is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK
In memory of Our Mum - Sue Adams... and everyone else affected by Pancreatic Cancer

500 Miles Tour de Cairn · 9 July 2025

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Pancreatic Cancer is brutal. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. 7/10 do not make treatment. We didn't know all this, until our Mum, and Dad's wife of nearly 46 years, was diagnosed in December 23. She was 69, healthy, active and young. She died 6 weeks later.

It sucks. But life isn't fair and we're not the only one's effected... so we're fighting back and doing our bit for Pancreatic Cancer UK, who go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. They bring breakthroughs in research, campaigns, and support through expert nurses. They care, because people feel forgotten.

I'll be cycling 500 miles via some of Cairn Group's hotels, bars and restaurants. To my Dad and everyone cycling/supporting - thank you!
