Together with colleagues from Northampton International Academy, I am taking on the challenge of running a half-marathon on 13th September 2026 as part of The Amazing Northampton Run. Our mission is to raise vital funds for The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, a charity set up to support people facing crisis across Northamptonshire since 2020.

The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation began as an emergency food bank and has blossomed into a multifaceted lifeline, providing essential services in four key areas. Their Food and Essentials Hub has already assisted over 103,000 individuals by partnering with more than 90 schools and community services to deliver food, personal care items, and household essentials—helping families achieve long-term stability.

In addition, TMDF’s Schools Support System ensures children have the tools they need to thrive by supplying Breakfast Boxes, school shoes, technology access, and Christmas gifts. Their Social Clubs and Community Outreach programs offer meals, entertainment, activities, transport services, and home visits to combat isolation among vulnerable community members. Furthermore, their Community Wellbeing Services empower individuals through home improvements, gardening assistance, personalized guidance, and educational programs such as cookery classes and digital inclusion initiatives.

The impact of TMDF has been immense but there is still so much more to do. So, I am asking for your support to help me reach my fundraising target of £150. Every contribution brings us closer to strengthening these vital services that transform lives every day.
