Story
Hi everyone,
In March I’ll be running the Berlin half marathon for Sport in Mind, the UK's leading mental health sports charity (https://www.sportinmind.org/). Every penny raised will help support their mission to transform the lives of people experiencing mental health challenges through the power of sport and physical activity.
Picking up running again in my 40s with the local running club has done wonders for my fluctuating mental health, and in my capacity as Run Leader I’ve heard many others talk about how their outlook has been helped immeasurably by communal physical activity, so more than happy to help support a great mental health charity. The Berlin half is part of my aim to run 50 half marathons at 50, and also one of the six races in the Super Halfs series, which will, all being well, involve me Jason Bourne-ing (minus the amnesia and ultraviolence) across various glamorous European cities, including Lisbon, Valencia and, erm, Cardiff in the next few years. I’d be massively grateful for any support you can give for the Berlin run to kick things off, and to support the fantastic work of Sport in Mind.
Thanks
Rich
