Story
On 9th June, members of the Richmond borough community will be able to hear from, engage with, and support local grassroots charities at OneRichmond’s exciting new Dragons’ Den-style event. Richmond Mencap is one of the charities pitching in front of four Dragons.
Join in with the Dragons in giving back to Richmond Mencap and their vital work to support people in need in our borough. Your donations will be a huge part of the night and will make the impact that much greater.
We are the voice of learning disability in Richmond and we strive to reduce social isolation, increase confidence and improve services for the local learning disability community. We’re excited to be part of an evening that celebrates connection, collaboration and the vital work happening across Richmond.”
Started in 1959, Richmond Mencap supports people with learning disabilities, families and carers, providing activities, guidance and community programmes in the borough. They create regular, structured opportunities for people with learning disabilities to connect, build relationships and participate in their community. With high demand and limited resources, they deliver inclusive, low-cost support, working collaboratively to address local gaps and ensure equal opportunities for all.
