The original section of the club house was constructed in the late seventies, with additional sections built in subsequent decades.

The club's interior now appears dated and worn from ongoing use over time.

Our objective is to refurbish and modernise the interior spaces to ensure the club remains functional and provides a warm, welcoming environment for current users as well as additional organisations and individuals who may wish to utilise our facilities in the future.

Phase 1 – Alteration and modernisation of the entrance area of the club.

Phase 2 – Relocation of the central bar to the rear wall to make a more open plan bar/lounge area.

Phase 3 – Main Lounge/Bar Areas: Removal of existing floor upholstery, installation of new seating and tables, refurbishment of décor, and completion of electrical system repairs as identified through current electrical testing activities.

Phase 4 – Refurbishment of all toilet areas, decoration of the other function rooms and electrical system enhancements.

In each phase, any necessary changes to heating, lighting, and electrical systems will be identified and carried out.

These initial plans and designs below are in draft and are still being worked on at present. Once these designs are completed and the membership consulted, we will get the project fully costed. We are at present estimating the cost for the refurbishment of £80 to £100k.

The Committee are already applying to various grant aid organisations who will hopefully partially support our project.
