Story
I was diagnosed with Tourette’s at a young age. For a long time, I didn’t really understand what was happening to me — I just knew I felt different, frustrated, and sometimes alone. Tourette’s isn’t just about tics; it affects confidence, mental health, school, work, and how you see yourself.
That’s where Tourettes Action made a huge difference in my life.
They gave me information, reassurance, and support when I really needed it. They helped me understand my condition, and more importantly, helped me realise I wasn’t broken or alone. Having someone in your corner who actually understands Tourette’s can change everything.
Because of what they did for me, I want to give something back.
So me and Chlo are taking on the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon to raise money for Tourettes Action. Running 26.2 miles is a big challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges people with Tourette’s face every day — especially kids who are just starting their journey and don’t yet have the support I was lucky enough to get.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Tourettes Action continue their amazing work: supporting families, educating schools, and making sure people with Tourette’s feel understood rather than judged.
If you’re able to donate, you won’t just be helping us get through a marathon — you’ll be helping someone else feel less alone, more confident, and more supported.
Thank you so much for reading, donating, and supporting us. It really means more than you know. 💙
