Story
My name is Rick Turner and on April 20th, I will be taking part in a boxing event to raise money for charity. All my fundraising will go to Perth Abandoned Dogs Society (PADS), who do fantastic work for rehoming abandoned dogs. This is a charity that I have raised money for in the past as like many others, I love dogs more than people.
Recently I visited the shelter to meet the staff and some of the dogs who are currently looking for homes. Not all dogs in there are strays, some have unfortunately had to be given up to personal or health reasons. Over the coming weeks I would like to try to raise £1,000, but also try to attempt to find home for some of the dogs by raising as much awareness as possible.
So far, I am 7th in the list for the most moneys raised at £385 for the event and would like to finish in the top 3. Any support over the next few weeks would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate on my Just Giving page, please use the link or scan the QR code below.
I’ve also including links for PADS website and my Instagram page if you would like to keep up with my progress. If anybody would like to see me getting punched in the face repeatedly, then you can buy tickets for the event at £25 per person.
