Story
We are three friends from Brown University taking on the Rickshaw Run - a 3,000 kilometre journey across India in one of the country’s most iconic and chaotic forms of transport: the auto-rickshaw. For us, this is more than an endurance challenge; it is a chance to explore a nation of extraordinary beauty and culture with the intimacy it deserves, to experience its landscapes in their most authentic form, and to connect with people in villages and towns long forgotten in the modern narrative of India. We wanted to take on something that would let us immerse ourselves in the country and give back to it at the same time, something both adventurous and meaningful.
That is why we are raising funds for the OSCAR Foundation. OSCAR empowers children and young people from underprivileged communities through sport and education, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and create opportunities for a brighter future. As teammates on Brown Men's Rugby, we have witnessed the transformative power of sport and the incredible strength that comes with feeling a part of something bigger than ourselves.
Driving across India in this way allows us to truly connect with the country and its people, and to give a voice to communities that are often overlooked. It’s a privilege to take on this challenge, and every donation will help make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
