Story
This year I'm running the London Marathon to raise money for the UCLH Charity Cancer Fund!
This money will go towards increasing the quality of care for patients and carers, treatments, and training for staff within the hospital.
Some of the current appeals that the charity is funding include Scalp Cooling Units to help patients prevent hair loss from chemotherapy, and improving facilities and services for paediatric patients suffering from cancer.
Over 14, 000 people every year are treated for cancer at UCLH, and this number is rising annually. More than half the patients I scan at work are for a cancer followup, so raising money for this cause would mean a lot knowing it's helping my patients out in other ways.
Every pound helps, so please donate and let's raise some money for the UCLH Cancer Fund!
