Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

I've known too many people impacted by blood cancer, both young and old. I'm raising a bit of money to help support the good work of Blood Cancer UK in tackling this cancer and supporting people going through it. On Sunday 8th Sept 2024, as a milestone for the fundraising, I will run the Great North Run on behalf of Blood Cancer UK.

Blood Cancer UK

We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job. Over 40,000 people are diagnosed with a blood cancer each year in the UK, and over 250,000 people are currently living with blood cancer.
