Story

Story

The Adapted Sports Hub Trust exists because we recognised a significant gap in adapted and disability-friendly sports facilities in West Norfolk, where many individuals and families were unable to access regular, safe, and inclusive sporting opportunities. Our vision is rooted in the belief that sport is a fundamental right—not a privilege—and that everyone deserves the chance to be active, feel included, and flourish within their community. The build of Hub at Lynnsport will provide specialist spaces that respond to the diverse needs of users, from adaptive equipment and sensory-friendly areas to coaching and community-driven programmes that enable meaningful participation. Much like the growing 'Ride United' adapted cycling sessions that already bring people together in a positive and encouraging environment, the Hub will expand opportunities for both recreational and competitive sport for children and adults with a range of physical and learning needs. With inclusive and accessible facilities, we can improve health outcomes, combat social isolation, and foster lifelong enjoyment of sport.

Ride United

The Adapted Sports Hub Trust set up Ride United Adapted Cycling Club in September 2025, specifically to address the significant gap in adapted and disability-friendly sports facilities in West Norfolk, where many individuals and families have been unable to access regular, safe, and inclusive sporting opportunities. The club runs weekly, drop in, cycling sessions for all ages and abilities. Based at Alive Lynnsport in Kings Lynn we provide a fun, safe and traffic free experience with our fleet of 16 specially adapted bikes and trikes. The club runs solely of charitable donations and grant funding which is why we are raising funds via this brilliant event and in the process raising the profile of adapted sports and clubs in Kings Lynn.

Challenge

We have a fantastic team taking part in both the Gear 10k and the Mini Gear, some running and some on our specially adapted trikes. Please donate whatever you can to help us continue to run this invaluable club and support our disabled community to keep active and have fun.
