Story
On 15/06/25 two firefighters from Bicester tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.
As fellow firefighters from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service we are undertaking a challenge to bring us together as the Firefighting family we are.
Gavin Callander and Grant Bailey will be cycling 400miles in a two days from Scottish Fire and Rescue Headquarters, Scott Butler will be running 150 miles in three days from Bridgwater Fire Station and Nick Winter will be cycling 170 miles in one day from Great Yarmouth Fire Station. We all have the final destination set to Bicester Fire Station which is where Jennie and Martyn were stationed.
We aim to all arrive at the same time and on arrival we will present the flag of our respective brigades with messages of support to Oxford Fire and Rescue Service.
This isn’t just a physical challenge. It’s a journey representing the unity of the firefighting family. We’re asking for your support to raise funds for the firefighters charity who help and support the firefighting community!!Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
