CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association, is dedicated to creating a brighter future for children and young people with cancer. We fund and lead pioneering research, provide trusted information for families, and bring together professionals to improve treatment, care, and outcomes.

Story

Our beautiful son Archie was diagnosed with Infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October 2020 at 4 months old. In the months to follow he endured countless doses of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, CAR-T therapy and 3 bone marrow transplants. These treatments were carried out across the John Radcliffe Childrens Hospital, Bristol Childrens Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Despite the best treatment and care, our precious boy passed away on 7th July 2022, aged 2 years. It has left our family heartbroken and our lives will never be the same again.

On Friday 1st September, Luke (Archie's Daddy) will be cycling 360 miles in 4 days to raise money for the charities that helped us along Archie's journey and in the months since he died. Without them we wouldn't have had the treatments available, we wouldn’t have had accommodation to stay in and we wouldnt have had the bereavement support we so desperately need. Luke will start his bike ride from Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital, make his way to Great Ormond Street Hospital, with an overnight stop on the way. He will then head from Great Ormond Street to John Radcliffe Childrens Hospital in Oxford and then on the final day he will complete his final miles from Oxford to Bristol Childrens Hospital. Please support Luke to be able to give back to these charities that are so close to our heart.
