Sadly on the 12th June Natasha’s bowel kinked and she was admitted for the first time into an adult hospital. After a agonising time watching Natasha suffer immensely, Natasha was transferred to the Northern Irelands Childrens Hospice for end of life care, where she grew her angel wings on 5th July, leaving us completely devastated. Losing Natasha has left such a hole in our family and something we will never get over.

Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice stepped in and took Natasha to a place where she loved going to be with her friends. The hospice was somewhere Natasha enjoyed so much, because all the staff give her so much care and attention, they all adored her.

Within 4 hours of Natasha arriving with NICH the staff had Natasha’s pain under control which we were so thankful for, they helped immensely with easing the suffering for my beautiful girl. Natasha’s final days were made so much more comfortable with the amazing end of life care they provided. They made our last last days with Natasha very special and kept it all as normal as possible so Natasha was in a relaxed environment, they provided music therapy, art work and more, but most of all showed her so much love. We had a bed beside Natasha and we were by her side every minute of everyday, they made her little brother a bedroom next door so he could be with Natasha when he wanted too . They supported our family in every way possible.

Now we would just love to give back, by raising as much funds as possible to support the Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice in being able to give many more children a peaceful ending in such a positive environment. Also for them to continue providing the vital support to their families, not only during their child's end of life care but also the after care and support they keep ongoing afterwards.
