With utmost humility, I am reaching out to seek support for repairing the roof of my home. This is a single-storey terrace house that I purchased in the end of 2019 through subsale. The main reason I chose this house was because my mother-in-law could no longer manage stairs due to her knee problems, so a single-storey home was the most suitable.

Unfortunately, since moving in, the roof has been leaking. I have already hired contractors three times and even tried to repair it myself six times with my own saving. Sadly, the fixes only lasted for a short while, and all my savings have been exhausted. I also contacted my home insurance, but they informed me the issue was considered “Wear and Tear,” and no clear solution was given.

I even reached out to the bank regarding my housing loan, but unfortunately, additional repair costs cannot be covered through that channel. At the same time, the monthly loan repayment is high, and my wife has recently stopped working, which has made our financial situation even tighter.

This is truly my last option—to humbly seek a little help so I can purchase the necessary materials and tools to repair the roof properly by myself. I am not trying to take advantage, but only hoping that my family can live more comfortably without fear every time it rains.
