Update 14th September: we did it! All nine of us successfully completed the ascent of Whiteleaf Hill, Coombe Hill and Ivinghoe Beacon, and managed to dodge the rain until the final section. A team of Chorleywood Striders and friends comprising Nigel Lanning, Rachel Hatfield, Malcolm Green, Andrew York, Shamoon Karimjee, Lesley Neal, Rik Edwards, Bill Harer and Ed Kramers are walking 10.5 miles and scaling the 3 mighty Chilterns “Peaks” to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Chorleywood u3a, and to raise money for a fantastic cause.
