Story
Rising Voices is Oxford's Folk Choir. We hope you enjoyed our singing as part of the Oxford Folk Festival! If you were moved by our music please do consider making a donation to the RNLI to help them continue their incredible and brave work. See below for what they have to say about fundraising and celebrating their 200th year.
------
In 2024, we will be marking 200 anniversary of the RNLI. Through a series of events, activities, media coverage and more, we will be paying tribute to the RNLI’s remarkable history and people – and paving the way for our future.
As part of this, the RNLI has partnered with ChoirCommunity in 2024 to invite choirs to come together and sing to save lives. You can take part by holding a concert or performance with your choir to raise funds in aid of the RNLI.
By taking part in sing to save lives, by signing up and fundraising at your events you are helping to the RNLI to achieve our mission: to save every one.
How your support helps:
£25 or €30 will buy a pair of seagoing gloves to protect a crew member's hands in all weathers, keeping them warm and dry, and providing a sure grip when handling the lifeboat and rescue equipment.
£100 or €117 will buy a pair of binoculars to keep people safe on the beach.
£260 or €305 will buy a helmet to protect our crew from the worst conditions the sea can throw at them.
