I never met my granddad, Frederick Bliss, but his main love was cycling. He was a avid road cyclist and participated in time trials.

My grandad sadly passed the same year I was born from 'Bulbar Palsey', a form of Motor Neurons Disease.

Motor Neurons Disease is a death sentence for anyone who sadly gets it and more research and understanding needs to be undertaken to find a cure.

I hope my granddad will be riding next to me.
